GCNI set to establish ‘Asia Pacific Resource Centre on Responsible Business Practices’.

‘Asia Pacific Resource Centre on Responsible Business Practices’, an integrated resource hub dedicated to the Ten Universal Principles of Global Compact, broad UN goals and special initiatives of the Secretary General of the United Nations, will soon be established by GCNI. The aim of the Centre will be to bridge the information deficit and act as an integrated information and content service provider.
Speaking on the relevance and role of the Centre, Mr. D.K. Sarraf, President, GCNI and CMD, ONGC said, ‘The Centre, which is fruition of long-term planning by GCNI, will consolidate diverse sets of data and content and develop innovative value-added offerings at the APAC level.’
Based in New Delhi as an integral part of GCNI, the Centre will leverage technology, innovative tools and cross-sector partnerships to effectively reach out and disseminate premium data and content, and will also offer cutting-edge training, diligence, knowledge support and advisory around CSR and sustainability to a wide range of stakeholders.
The President of GCNI will chair the Centre, which will include leaders from industry, the UN system and regional and local networks. The Centre will function with active support from its partners.
