JK Cement Ltd. is one of India’s leading manufacturers of Grey and White Cement. With over five decades of industry presence, the company has contributed significantly to India’s infrastructure growth through its high-quality products and technological advancements. Its flagship grey cement unit in Nimbahera, Rajasthan, began operations in May 1975. Till FY 24, JK Cement has installed a Grey Cement capacity of 24 MnTPA, making it one of the top cement manufacturers in India. Additionally, the company has a White Cement capacity of 1.2 MnTPA and a Wall Putty capacity of 1.2 MnTPA.

JK Cement is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint through sustainable practices, including clinker factor reduction, alternative fuel usage, and energy efficiency initiatives. The company has successfully lowered its clinker factor from 70.3% in FY20 to 63.6% in FY24, significantly cutting CO₂ emissions. The company has also prioritized waste management by enhancing its Thermal Substitution Rate (TSR), reaching 16.3% in FY24, with a goal of 35% by FY30. JK Cement has significantly reduced plastic pollution by co-processing 181.69 MT of plastic waste in FY24. The company has partnerships with municipal corporations for Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) utilization.

JK Cement has increased its green energy share from 19% in FY20 to 51% in FY24, with a target of 75% by FY30. Investments in renewable energy i.e. solar, wind, and Waste Heat Recovery Systems (WHRS), have played a key role in reducing fossil fuel dependency. Additionally, JK Cement has improved energy efficiency by replacing traditional equipment with Vertical Roller Mills (VRMs), Roller Presses, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). These efforts have reduced specific power consumption.

JK Cement also promotes blended and composite cement to further decrease CO₂ emissions. In FY 24, the blended cement percentage was 61%, aiming to increase to 80% by FY30. Additionally, the company has developed a biodiversity park (50 ha), in Chittorgarh Rajasthan, planting over 1.5 million saplings by FY24 to enhance ecosystem services and climate resilience.

JK Cement has also improved its DJSI score from 47 (FY21) to 70 (FY24) and maintained a CDP ‘B’ rating in FY25, reinforcing its climate leadership.
