Centre of Excellence for Transparency and Ethics in Business

Tue, 27th January, 2015 @ New Delhi

The Global Compact Network India instituted a first of its kind of Centre of Excellence for Transparency and Ethics in Business – a Siemens Integrity Initiative – on November 26, 2014 in New Delhi, India. The three year project intends to scale up the anticorruption Collective Action Agenda. GCNI Centre for Excellence (COE) will be developed on collaborative model and develop new approaches and techniques by engaging diverse range of stakeholders, focusing on both supply and demand side of corruption.
Essentially the COE aims to:

  • Develop pragmatic approaches around UNGC Principle 10 to challenging business decisions.
  • Provide enabling platform to businesses, policy makers, civil society, industry associations, UN agencies and academia.
  • Improve organizational decision making through a stakeholder management framework that integrates transparency and integrity.

Businesses operating out of India practice a multitude of anticorruption initiatives in silos. GCNI COE encourages shared focus and provides a platform for greater coordination, thereby increasing the reach and impact of transparent business initiatives.
