Inaugural ‘Cross-Over Series’, GCNI’s Initiative Toward Inclusive Learning and Enlightened Leadership, concluded in Bengaluru

Global Compact Network India in partnership with Prin. L.N.Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research recently concluded its inaugural Cross-Over Series in Bengaluru on 16th September 2014. The series is an endeavor to promote cutting edge analysis, ideas and interpretations to some of the new compelling issues of our times and offer alternative public policy pathways.
Dr. Anil Subba Rao Paila, Dean , Prin L.N.Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research gave the welcome address at the event, which was followed by opening remarks by Mr. Pooran Chandra Pandey, Executive Director, GCNI and keynote address by Mr. Manjunath Shetty, District Governor Rtn. of R. I District 3190. The event was centered on the theme of “How can CSR transform lives? Insights and Practices from India Inc.” and included an engaging panel discussion on the issue of CSR. The panellist was well represented by leading experts from Coprorate sector and Academic institutions such as Mr. P.S.Narayan, Vice President and Head – Sustainability, Wipro Ltd; Mr. Babu Rangaswamy, Director, Hewlett Packard; Mr. Manoj Chakravarti, Chief Operations Officer, Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship, IIM Bangalore and Mr.Balakrishna Shenoy, Director-Derivatives and OTC, Deutsche Bank India.
