Mr. Sudhir Vasudeva to launch the “Business for Peace” (B4P) initiative of the United Nations Global Compact, in New York, USA

Mr. Sudhir Vasudeva, Board Member, United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), President, Global Compact Network India and CMD, ONGC will be launching the exciting new initiative of the UNGC called “Business for Peace” (B4P) initiative. As a part of the launch, Mr. Vasudeva will also be speaking at the Closing Plenary during the Leaders Summit on the theme of “Business for Peace” initiative in front of over 1,000 audiences.  Drawing on over a decade of experience working with the private sector to explore the role of business in contributing to peace, the Global Compact (UNGC) will launch a new “Business for Peace” (B4P) initiative aimed at expanding and deepening private sector action in support of peace in the workplace, marketplace and local communities. B4P will mobilize high-level corporate leadership to advance peace through actions that help to build strong economies and prosperity, establish more stable and just societies, foster tolerance and create trust and intercultural understanding.  Rooted in existing UNGC initiatives, and together with its strategic partners, which include important international organizations and forums, participating companies and Local Networks, B4P will assist companies in implementing responsible business practices aligned with the Global Compact principles in conflict-affected/high-risk areas.
